Wolf 2 – Concrete slab feeder tunnel of the Brenner base tunnel

Innsbruck, Austria /

For the Brenner base tunnel, ÖBA constructed a 3.3 km long single layer concrete slab in the “Wolf 2” feeder tunnel in March and April 2017.

The extreme linear angle of 10% and the extremely constricted space in the tunnel were major challenges for the ÖBA team.

In addition, the works had to be carried out in a single layer execution with a very high slab thickness of 30 cm. All that in a short construction time and under strict terms by the customer.
