Over the next 36 months, PORR will build Austria’s largest privately financed healthcare property.
“The MIA will offer high-quality medical care close to home for a broad section of the population. The clear focus is on fulfilling the public healthcare mandate, i.e. medical services covered by health insurance”, said PORR CEO Karl-Heinz Strauss. The MIA meets the rapidly growing demand for medical services in the south of Vienna. It can accommodate up to 5,000 people on twelve floors and boasts 21,000m² of gross floor area.
The building will be certified to ÖGNI Gold. It will feature a fully greened, structurally complex hexagonal façade with curtain wall, green oases of relaxation on various floors and in the rooftop area, as well as urban office gardening.
